Granier’s story involves the love for bread, respect for tradition and dedication for great service.

HOW IT ALL BEGAN

Granier has its origins in the next-door trusted neighbourhood bakery; that is the core of our brand which is all about local commerce and the baker’s traditional trade. The first shop opened in 1988, after that the business grew and new bakeries opened. In 2010, Granier was established as a brand.

Nowadays, with more than 20 years of experience, when it comes to baking the founders of Granier have learnt everything there is to know about bread. Perhaps their best creation of all was Granier itself.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

Granier’s philosophy is simple: bringing high-quality, artisan, homemade and fresh produce to the United Kingdom: from sourdough loaves to croissants, olive cheese stick sandwiches to premium coffee. All of our products are served in a warm and welcoming atmosphere in which to sit back and enjoy.

Baking fresh bread in store and preparing our food on a daily basis, we specialise in using traditional recipes and the latest technology to make the highest quality produce possible. We pride ourselves on ensuring that the product is at the heart and soul of everything we do.

EACH STORE - AN ENTREPRENEUR WITH A GRANIER QUALITY SEAL

Granier runs its own stores, however some of them are being taken care by entrepreneurs keen to grow their own business project.

What binds us together is a way of working and acting that responds to values we strongly believe in. The store owners who are part of the Granier family, share a successful business based on common know-how.

2010 - OUR FIRST GRANIER


The first Granier store is established in the Spanish town of Vilanova i La Geltru by Granier’s founder Juan Pedro Conde.

2013 - HELLO, AMERICA!


We cross the Atlantic and open our first store in Miami.

2014 - 200 STORES!


We open our 200th store in Valencia, Spain.

2014 - OLÁ, PORTUGAL!


Our first Lisbon establishment opens for business.

2014 - SALVE ITALIA!


We touch down in Italy with the launch of our first bakery in Rome.

2015 - HELLO UK!


London welcomes the first Granier bakery in the UK.

2015 - INVEST TO GROW


Granier invests over £1.2 million into its first central headquarters in the Canary Islands, Spain.

2016 - 1ST BUSINESS CONVENTION


Granier organises its first Business Convention in Barcelona. The event is a hit, gathering all Granier staff.

2016 - 300 BAKERIES AND COUNTING!


We open our 300th store in Spain.

2017 - NEW AND MODERNISE HEAD OFFICE


We open our new head office in the Spanish town of Vilanova i la Geltru, with double the space.

2017 - GROWING OUR NETWORK IN THE US


Granier takes over Miami-based “La Provence” chain to continue its growth across the US.

2017 - NEW PRODUCTS


We completely renew our product range including Sourdough and Wellbeing Bread.
